Arc Light Books had the pleasure of designing this first published collection of poetry, by David Hathwell.
David Hathwell’s poetry has been published in a dozen plus literary magazines, both national and international. They including Tampa Review, The MacGuffin, Timberline Review, and Measure, and the online journals Cider Press Review, Driftwood Press, and Angle.
David is a former English teacher, with degrees in English from Stanford University and Columbia University. He also holds an advanced degree in music theory from Queens College of the City University of New York.
A piano student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a bass in the Lesbian/Gay Chorus of San Francisco in 2015, David says, “My musical training, as much as any other influence, has shaped the character of my poetry.” Muses is his debut collection.
Every one of the twenty poems in this book is a marvel.
